About the Position
As a Lecturer – Heavy Vehicle, you will contribute to the teaching effort of programs delivered within CDU TAFE. This includes preparation and delivery of units/courses and assessment of students to the competency standards of the Automotive Retail, Service and Repair (AUR) Training Package in line with best teaching practices and industry standards. 


About You
To be successful, you will require:

  • A Certificate III qualification in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology and/or Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology and have demonstrated relevant working experience covering the specific areas of the current Automotive Retail, Service and Repair (AUR) Training Package
  • A TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its successor or equivalent qualification as outlined by Australian Skills Quality Authority Framework (ASQA) or the ability to obtain this qualification in a set time frame
  • Relevant experience in training with the context of the Heavy Commercial Vehicle and Mobile Plant Trade and be able to demonstrate an understanding of Competency Based Training and Workplace Assessment.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage in effective and proactive teamwork recognising the abilities of others and utilising co-operative approaches.
  • Demonstrated high level interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate in a culturally sensitive manner with internal and external stakeholders to whom English may not be the first language.
  • Demonstrated competency with the Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software packages

Remuneration 
Appointment to this role will be at Teaching Focused Academic Level A. The base salary will be in the range of $72,702 to $109,071 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $85,061 to $125,273 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
