Provide support to the Automotive and Civil team at Charles Darwin University (CDU) TAFE

About the Position
As the Automotive & Civil Technical Officer you will provide support to a range of training-related activities across the Automotive and Civil Team. Your duties will include providing general and specific technical support including the provision of technical advice and general assistance for students, academic staff and the Team Leader; procurement processes and associated record keeping; maintenance of equipment and application of safe working procedures across Automotive & Civil facilities and equipment.


About You
To be successful, you will require:

  • Certificate II or higher qualification in Automotive, Mobile Plant, Civil Construction or related fields.
  • Demonstrate a wide range of general trades assistant type skills, ability to operate, maintain and inspect workshop vehicles, machinery and equipment and arrange service/ repairs in a timely fashion.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and to manage workloads to meet conflicting deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well within a team and adapt to a changing work environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of computer software packages such as Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel)

Remuneration 
Appointment to this role will be at Professional level 5. The base salary will be in the range of $72,061 to $83,249 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $84,311 to $97,401 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
