Combine your technical proficiency, project management skills and passion for customer relationship technologies in this critical role.

We are a new world university. Like our namesake, Charles Darwin, we think differently. We innovate, embrace change, challenge conventions and look for better ways. We’re not about tradition or legacy, privilege or exclusivity. We cannot build a new world without diversity of thought, so we bring together people with unique perspectives in an inclusive and supporting learning environment to help them connect, discover and grow. This is the CDU difference.

As Systems Programmer, you will be responsible for providing programming expertise and specialist knowledge for the development, integration, support and enhancement of CDU customer relationship technologies and applications. These systems are used to support the management of student data, student support enquiries, as well as student acquisition and retention strategies. This will include the technical configuration integration and development of the Oracle Service Cloud (Right Now) technologies, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Marketing Automation systems.

A talented communicator, you will demonstrate a flair for translating complex and technical concepts to non-technical audiences, asking the right questions and actively listening to colleagues to effectively capture and interpret business requirements; leading to trusted and productive stakeholder relationships.

Completion of a degree in computing, information technology (or relevant discipline) as well as relevant hands on experience is essential for this position. Programming skills and proficiency in contemporary application development using Java (and other programming languages), PHP, JavaScript, CSS, XHTML, SML, XSLT and databases such as Oracle as well as experience in best practice analysis, design, coding, testing, implementation and documentation of ICT applications will see you succeed.
