Create innovative, exciting digital content and engage with academic staff to extend their digital capabilities.

We are a new world university. Like our namesake, Charles Darwin, we think differently. We innovate, embrace change, challenge conventions and look for better ways. We’re not about tradition or legacy, privilege or exclusivity. We care about people as individuals, and about our wider society. We’re about what we can give to the world, rather than what we take. We cannot build a new world without diversity of thought, so we bring together people with unique perspectives in an inclusive and supporting learning environment to help them connect, discover and grow. This is the CDU difference.

CDU’s learning technologies are broadly captured under the Learnline brand, which encompasses the Learning Management System (LMS) – Blackboard Learn, Blackboard Collaborate, streaming media services and other discrete applications. As Senior Learnline Training Specialist, you will be instrumental in improving the digital capacity of academic staff by providing training in the technical and pedagogical application of Learnline across higher education (HE) and Vocational Education and Training (VET) and ensuring full compliance with education legislation for online and distance learning.

A talented and enthusiastic communicator, you will confidently conduct training and demonstrations to engage with academic staff to extend their digital capabilities. You will show flair in creating innovative and exciting digital content for training purposes using a variety of tools. Advanced skills working with Learning Management Systems, preferably Blackboard Learn is essential, and experience working with authoring tools such as H5P, Articulate Storyline, Camtasia and web conferencing platforms such as Blackboard Collaborate and Microsoft Teams will support your application.

To be successful, you will hold a relevant degree level qualification and extensive experience in training and support of learning technologies, or an equivalent combination of education/training and relevant experience.

Any suitably experienced/qualified internal CDU redeployees will be given priority consideration for this role.
