The College of Health and Human Sciences drives the twin goals of teaching and research and offers a broad range of innovative programs that prepare students for a diverse range of career paths through study at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The College is responsible for teaching and research in the fields of social and health sciences and practice such as social work, psychology, pharmacology, medical laboratory science, clinical and biomedical science, and exercise and sports science. The College offers a range of undergraduate, Honours and postgraduate programs that cater to the beginner student, students in pursuit of a health professional or research careers and students in pursuit of lifelong learning. The College has forged strong partnerships with the Menzies School of Health Research and Flinders University’s Northern Territory Medical Program.

As a Lecturer in Social Work, you contribute to the professional preparation of social workers and related professionals at undergraduate levels through the development and delivery of relevant units within the Bachelor of Social Work. Your activities include preparing lecturers, demonstrations, workshops and tutorials by means of electronic, written, audio, or video as appropriate to the topic.


To be successful you require appropriate academic qualifications at postgraduate level in Social Work or related field, and be eligible for membership of the AASW. Demonstrated capacity to develop /prepare and deliver learning and teaching material and programs at a tertiary level is essential
