Lecturers in Education

Continuing full time appointments

Research Active Academic Level B

Salary $95,851 to $113,329 per annum

17 percent superannuation plus 6 weeks annual leave

The College of Education (College) delivers teaching and research in education, foundation programs and academic language and literacy. Our foundation programs provide students with the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to succeed at university, and our education programs enable students to specialise in early childhood, primary, secondary and tertiary education and training. Education graduates teach in childcare facilities, pre-schools, and primary, middle and high schools.  The College is committed to providing access to programs throughout the community, and to developing learning and teaching capabilities for the region, particularly for Indigenous communities and remote regions. Our research and consultancy has a strong scholarly base informed by international practice.


The College is seeking innovative Lecturers in Education to build the teaching profile, research capabilities and professional practice of the College in primary and/or secondary education. These positions will be involved in the development and teaching units (courses), utilising both on-campus and flexible-mode of teaching and learning support, and to engage in scholarly work that informs teaching and learning in diverse educational contexts.  The successful applicants will have the vision and energy to contribute through teaching, learning and research to the Northern Territory, national and international educational contexts.
