People and Capability (P&C) is a critical service provider to the University in achieving strategic goals through people. This cannot be done without high levels of staff energy, skills and cooperation and P&C is the area that assists University leadership to develop the culture and systems for people to flourish and contribute to their full potential. People and Capability help advance key people strategies, such as attraction and retention, recognition and wellbeing, as well as offering a range of human resource services in partnership with managers and staff; these include training and leadership development, recruitment, business analytics, payroll, recruitment, emergency management, safety and wellbeing and employee relations.


As HR Business Partner, your responsibilities will include providing business focused operational HR advice and services that align with People & Capability plans and operational objectives. This will include working to identify and promote new ways of working and empowering approaches to people management.


Through your advanced communication and networking skills, you will skilfully develop a strong network and build trusted relationships to become a sought-after advisor for high-level strategic advice and solutions on people related matters, including organisational change management, training and development, communications and resource planning.


Completion of a tertiary qualification in Human Resources (or related discipline) and relevant professional experience is essential, as is the ability to effectively coach employees through times of significant change while providing clarity and support.
