Assist Higher Degree by Research (HDR) candidates at CDU to identify and complete internships to further their studies

About the position
As a HDR Internships Coordinator you will assist Higher Degree by Research candidates, especially PhD students, to identify and complete internship opportunities at government departments, commercial businesses and community organisations. You will help to identify industry partners that might be receptive to internships and promote Internships to them and will then work collaboratively with research supervisors, research candidates and the Office of Research and Innovation at CDU to arrange and manage these internships.  

 

About you
To be successful you will possess:

  • A degree qualification or other relevant tertiary qualifications and/or extensive relevant experience in a research and research training environment or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining relationships with managers in a diversity of industries
  • Capacity to promote products and services effectively
  • Strong written and oral communication skills as well as interpersonal skills
  • Capacity to solve problems independently and collaboratively
  • A passion for career development will be highly regarded
